How to Choose a Full-Length Floor Mirror (Size & Style)
A full-length mirror is one of the highest-impact pieces you can add to a room. It opens up space, bounces light, and — when the frame is hand-carved solid wood — becomes a piece of decor in its own right. Here’s how to choose the right one.
How tall should it be?
For a true full-length reflection, aim for a mirror at least 65 inches tall. Our large floor mirrors run up to 36×78 inches, enough to reflect head to toe with room to spare. Browse the large mirrors collection for floor and statement sizes.
Lean it or mount it?
- Leaning gives a relaxed, modern look and is easy to reposition. Make sure the base is stable and, with children or pets, anchor it to the wall for safety.
- Mounting saves floor space and works well in tight bedrooms and entryways. All our mirrors ship ready to hang with mounting hardware included.
Where to place it
- Bedroom — beside a window so it reflects daylight.
- Entryway — the last check before you head out, and an instant sense of more space.
- Living room — opposite or adjacent to a light source to brighten the whole room.
A round piece can work full-height too — see the round mirrors for a softer alternative to the rectangle.
Match the frame to your room
A carved frame adds warmth and pattern. If your space is minimal, a Tria or Mas motif keeps things clean; if you want a statement, the bolder Aztec and Papua patterns deliver.
